Foundation for a changing world

_Research has shown that children who are bilingual surpass their monolingual peers in cognitive abilities. Bilingual children tend to learn to read and write faster, and they typically have better problem solving skills. In general, children will be ahead academically compared to their monolingual peers.

The Dayton International School, a K-6 Spanish Immersion School, admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarships and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. 

The governing board of the Dayton International School, located at 7811 Mad River Rd., Dayton, Ohio, has adopted the following racial discriminatory policies: "The Dayton International School recruits and admits students of any race, color or ethnic origin to all its rights, privileges, programs, and activities. In addition, the school will not discriminate on the basis of race, color or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational programs and athletics/extracurricular activities. Furthermore, the school is not intended to be an alternative to court or administrative agency ordered, or public school district initiated desegregation. The Dayton International School will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or ethnic origin in the hiring of its certified or non-certified personnel."
