Foundation for a changing world
_Research has shown that children who are bilingual surpass their
monolingual peers in cognitive abilities. Bilingual children tend to
learn to read and write faster, and they typically have better problem
solving skills. In general, children will be ahead academically compared to their monolingual peers.

Mission Statement
The Dayton International School was created to meet the need for bilingual education in the Dayton area. We value diverse cultures and the ability to understand and communicate in more than one language. Through immersion programs we endeavor to teach children how to think in, speak, comprehend, read and write in a second or third language and expose them to cultural beliefs and practices associated with the immersion language.
