Admissions

Overview

The Dayton International School admits students to the preschool enrichment program and to Kindergarten on a first-come, first-admitted basis. Upon finishing the application process, students are admitted until classroom capacity is reached. We begin to accept applications in September, and we encourage families to apply early to be sure they get the schedule they prefer.

Children must be at least 3 years old and potty-trained to attend the preschool enrichment program. Students may begin at any time during the school year as long as space is available.

Children must be at least 5 years old by September 30th to attend kindergarten. All kindergarten students attend 5 days per week. According to space availability:
  •   Kindergarten students may attend for a morning,     afternoon, or full-day schedule.
Students in other grades who want to attend the Dayton International School must demonstrate grade-appropriate Spanish fluency. In that case, please contact the school to schedule a visit with our Head of School.
